When Did you Start dancing?
1988
How did you start dancing?
After many attempts at playing sports my attention was more on the snack bar then the game. At age 12 my parents pivoted and threw me in a local dance class. There was a showcase in which we did MJ's "Thriller".
I was hooked.
The passion for dance carried into high school. I was the school's mascot for a year: a black panther. That was fun...but hot. My time dancing was mostly spent with my dance group Playskool Society. Life hapens and dancing stopped after senior year.
Then in 2014 I was introduced to Swing at a bar called Boomers. I was terrible but tenacious. I dug in to the basics and fell in love once more. It's been over 8 years now and I do my best to share what I've learned with beginners and my fellow dancers.
