The london Stroll
(a.k.a. the Rock & roll/Rockabilly stroll)
The London Stroll (or often at Rockabilly weekenders, just "The Stroll") is a line dance primarily danced to slow-to-medium tempo early rock & roll music. In the UK, a "stroll" is a routine where the pattern faces a different wall each repetition. This differs from a stroll in the US, which features two lines facing each other, while dancers "stroll" down the middle - think Soul Train line.

Note: The London Stroll is a 22-count dance - 2 sets of 8 counts + a 6-count. This means that the dance will start on count 1, but repeat the second time on count 7 (and the third time on count 5; the fourth on count 3; fifth on count 1, etc.). If you are used to traditional jazz or country line dances, this will seem odd. It is. Embrace it.
