Swing wars: episode 1 - the jitterbug menace
The Rules:
- Contestants sign up as a couple (can switch roles) and choose to represent either Lindy Hop, Balboa, or Collegiate Shag.
- $20 Entry Fee.
- DJed music (190-230 BPM) - Will be common competition music.
- Aerials, lifts, dips, tricks, flash, and trash encouraged.
- Three total rounds.
- All-skate - with all dancers on the floor at the same time.
- There will be two judges assigned to each style (total of 6 judges).
- Judges will "tap-out" dancers until the style has only two couples left.
- The First Order Round will end when there are six couples remaining (two each for Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Collegiate Shag).
- The two couples representing their style will engage in a battle-style contest, where both couples dance at the same time.
- After 90 seconds, a single judge (Darth Nickolas) will decide who proceeds to the final round.
- The final three couples - each representing a dance - will compete in one final all-skate dance. The winner will be chosen by the audience and considered to be the real Jitterbug Menace in the Galaxy!
