Tatooine's Next top dancer - Solo Jazz & Swing Contest
Max Rebo wants you to be Tatooine's Next Top Dancer!
The contest will take place on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the Mint Tavern, as part of the Oonta Goonta Solo Dance Weekend, and during our SwingDanceVegas 17th Anniversary Party (there's a lot going on!).
If there are enough entries for a prelims, the prelims will be be an all-skate format, with judges tapping out contestants until 3-5 dancers are left. The finals will be feature solo spotlights of 8-8s each, twice through, with an all-skate to finish. The judges will rank the finalists in order, and a winner will be decided.
The winner will achieve the rank of Tatooine's Next Top Dancer and will certainly earn the rancor of their fellow competitors (and possibly, their future employers). The winning dancer will also earn a contract with the world-famous Max Rebo Band, and be featured as the solo dancer for their long-standing gig (further details can be found in the fine print on the contact).
